1920s Black and White party
The 1920s meets the goths from the future (it could be the past, but were talking about music here)! The introduction of the modern era of fashion comes to Deafixion!
Come Dressed as flappers and gangsters. Dress richly, dress poorly, whip out those double breasted vests and bob wigs and dance the night away to Deafixions Dj's!
Costume contest for best dressed Man and Woman, you never know what you could win!
18+ with valid ID
9pm
December 11th 2009.
This event is also a drive for a local Louisville Animal shelter. More information on this will be released as it comes.
Bring a Date!
Re: 1920s Black and White party
I've actually always thought we should do like a Film Noir night, but I didn't figure you guys would want to. O.o
Re: 1920s Black and White party
You have no idea how much this excites me. Probably more than 80s night.

Re: 1920s Black and White party
i love old french films, and the 20's were awesome. This is what happens when they let Dj sodom do an event. and yes, im exited too!!
Re: 1920s Black and White party
wewt! spam the internet with this flyer, so that we have a huge crowd. I think it should appeal to others outside the scene to finally check it out.
Re: 1920s Black and White party
As I said in another thread, I recently created a 400 person facebook invite list for goth night. Some of the Yes's and Maybe's I have seen from my friend list are pretty amazing.

Even more awesomeness:
this event will feature a CD Release for the new BLACK TAPE FOR A BLUE GIRL
http://www.blacktapeforabluegirl.com/
ALSO this is going to be a supply fund raiser for a local animal shelter... if you can please bring any of the following:
"Needed items for Metro Animal Services
Papertowels
Hand sanitizer
Old Newspapers
Cardboard drink flats (like for Red Bull & so on) to be used for litter pans
Cat litter & Feline Pine for Kittens
Canned Cat & Dog Food
Dry Cat & Dog Food
Cat & Dog Toys
Stainless Steel Food & Drink Bowls (Large & Small)
Bleach
Dish Detergent
Pet Shampoo
Towels & Washcloths
Blankets
Pet Carriers
Collars
Leashes
Also, we really need Volunteers! Karen is the volunteer coordinator, and they are very open on the hours and tasks asked of the volunteers. It’s a very laid back atmosphere."

Re: 1920s Black and White party
We actually haven't had this much response and enthusiasm from people about an event since the Voltaire show... so kudos to Edwin for coming up with the concept. Expect a great turnout.

Okay; I've go some electrical tape (which is generally black) and some Gorilla Tape, which is also black. So, where's the blue girl? I mean is this like La Blue Girl? Will there be some tenticles dressed like New York Stock Exchange of the 1920's enticing people with all kinds of cool stuff, but in the end, just grapes the hell outta 'em (and everyone else in the room, including those who had nothing to do with it).

Re: 1920s Black and White party
I was going to wear some kind of 1920s costume, but judging from the weather reports I might have to go to the event dressed as a gothic eskimo instead.
Re: 1920s Black and White party
Bah, I really wanted to go, but it turns out I have a date on Friday night. I hope the event is a blast

Re: 1920s Black and White party
It was awesome. I won't go into more detail right now because I've been up since 9:30 that morning and am about to pass out.
Re: 1920s Black and White party
It was alot less than the Voltaire concert. I haven't been to any of the other events so I don't know how busy it normally is. Everybody seemed to get there later in the evening. It was dead until ten. Maybe everyone went to see Lewis Black.
It was kind of fun watching all of the yuppies coming to the bar throughout the night without any clue that there was a goth event going on. They would come in look around, then quickly leave (after gawking at some of the bustier ladies).
