We will meet at pita hut at 8pm,
(Pita hut,1613 Bardstown Rd.) Tuesday November 17th for dinner together. The above link is Pitahuts myspace. They are an AMAZING (in my opinion) Mediterranean restaurant. Better than Falafel house, thinks *I*. But you be the judge.

It is also Kristina birthday at midnight, so there will be cake!

And of course, starting at 11pm that night, Earth will pass through the 1466 stream again, but this time closer to the center. Based on the number of meteors observed in 2008, Vaubaillon can estimate the strength of the coming display: five hundred or more Leonids per hour during a few-hour peak centered on 21:43 UT.

all in all, its going to be an awesome meteor shower, and we will head to cherokee park afterwards, find a nice place and watch.

If you guys haven't already eaten at Pita Hut, I have to say... its fucking incredible. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville alongside Kashmir.

Russell, Ladelthia's grandpa, and other reliable sources are now telling me the shower is MONDAY night, TUESDAY morning. That is inconsistent with previously stated information on this event and I think someone ought to look into it.

there is debate on which nights will be the brightest and clearer out to observe. monday and tuesday comes close call, but i think the monday night shower will be better. Either way, we will still see meteors, its a new moon, so there will not be any light reflecting from the moon that night, which is awesome. Along with monday nights always = poop.

oh, and dont forget to bring blankets or something if your coming to the park with us afterwards, unless you want to stand all night or sit on wet poopy grass. And bring good conversation too!

For future reference, this is why I miss the extracurriculars, Mondays are absolutely my most free night.
